Six The Musical BIO

Six The Musical is a groundbreaking modern pop musical that has taken the world by storm. With music, book, and lyrics crafted by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, this innovative production reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as pop stars competing in a singing competition to determine who suffered the most. The show celebrates each queen's individuality and empowerment, making it a unique theatrical experience. Originally performed by Cambridge University students at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017, it has since evolved into a global phenomenon, with productions running in the West End, on Broadway, and in multiple international tours.

The upcoming performance at Fisher Theatre - MI in Detroit on November 8, 2026, is part of its North American tour. This production promises to deliver the same high-energy vibe that audiences have come to love, featuring a minimal yet striking stage design that evokes a pop concert atmosphere. The show runs approximately 80–90 minutes without an intermission, allowing for an uninterrupted experience of powerful performances and catchy songs.

Fans can expect to hear top songs such as "Ex-Wives," "Don't Lose Ur Head," and "I Don't Need Your Love," all performed by an all-female/non-binary live band known as 'The Ladies in Waiting.' The musical has received numerous accolades, including Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Costume Design in 2022, further solidifying its status as a must-see production.
